Two posts about birthdays... There's no reason to broadcast them so publicly when they can be filtered. We've been so busy with these creatures that I nearly didn't remember my own two days ag--

I was never informed of the Silvana's policy regarding animals on board, but I'm fairly certain that the list of acceptable pets doesn't include the strange creatures huddled together at the foot of my bed. They're like nothing I've ever seen.

Do they belong to anyone? And if not, is there a particular person to contact regarding their removal from the ship? (Throwing them over the side seems inhumane, though there are several places in Bellcius that they might be released without worry, I'm sure.)

[private] I find that I'm already growing used to the routines here. The Silvana is a good ship and most of the crew seems pleasant, from what I've met of them. Even the thought of having to take up arms again does not make the prospect of this journey any less unpleasant, and I am slightly worried that I won't regret leaving my old job behind.

I never expected that I would be joining up with a ship like this. But then, I never expected to be asked to Kropmork, nor that I would abandon the military to teach. It seems my life is determined to make itself interesting regardless of my own plans.
